Construction Underway on the Michie Stadium Preservation Project
Michie Stadium, one of America’s most prestigious and iconic venues, is approaching the final stages of its most significant transformation to date. The Michie Stadium Preservation Project, which broke ground in April 2024, is on track to preserve the stadium's century-long heritage while introducing a world-class environment for cadets, graduates, and fans. Construction teams are currently working toward a Summer 2026 completion deadline. The centerpiece of this effort is the complete rebuilding of the East Stands, a massive 160,000-square-foot structure that replaces the original 1962 stands.
As the project enters its final months, fans are already looking forward to new features soon to be unveiled including premium suites, ledge seats, and a dedicated Corps of Cadets section that stretches from end zone to end zone, ensuring the cadet experience remains the heartbeat of every home game. This renovation project, combined with recent enhancements, will distinguish Michie Stadium as a premier venue for sports and special events. The Michie Stadium Preservation Project aligns with the institution's commitment to excellence and tradition, ensuring that future generations of fans can continue to enjoy the storied history and excitement of Army West Point Athletics
